Challenge

Mother’s Day and BAUHAUS? Not the most obvious combination.

As a brand, BAUHAUS stands for function, materials and a no-frills attitude, which made the challenge finding a credible connection to a more emotional occasion.

Solution

The idea builds on a simple wordplay: in German, a nut is called Mutter — the same word used for mother. This made the object itself the core of the campaign. At the same time, the nut also works as a symbol: it holds things together, creates support and forms connections. That function becomes the emotional bridge to Mother’s Day. The three headlines — The one who gives supportThe most important connection and You hold everything together — each translate this technical role into a message of appreciation, turning a functional BAUHAUS product into an emotional campaign idea.
