Challenge
In an increasingly polarized media landscape, how can a newspaper association position itself as a platform for pluralism, tolerance, and open discourse? The challenge was to visually express support for diverse political voices without taking sides — and to provoke thought, not division.
Solution
We developed a bold and provocative poster campaign that embraces contradiction. By juxtaposing conflicting political slogans and ideologies, the posters spark curiosity and encourage debate — positioning Die Zeitungen (a group of different newspapers) as a defender of free expression and democratic dialogue.
The campaign challenges political binaries by stating phrases such as: "You vote for the alternative we offer alternatives" on there posters. A statement that reframes protest as a call for choice, not division.
Shortlisted in the top 20 entries at the New(s)comers Best Award by the German newspaper association. https://awards.die-zeitungen.de/newscomers-best-6/
