Challenge
How do you make a new tech e-commerce brand stand out in a crowded market without adding unnecessary complexity? Despite strong customer traffic driven by competitive offers, Smartport lacked a distinctive and consistent identity. The brand needed a clearer strategic foundation and a visual system that could turn its name into a recognisable presence across digital touchpoints.
Solution
I built the identity around the brand name itself. The idea of a “port” as a point of access became the strategic core of Smartport: a direct route to smarter tech deals. To make this idea visible, I transformed the “O” in the wordmark into a port-inspired shape. What began as a logo detail became the foundation of the wider brand system — a simple, scalable element that creates recognition across platforms and gives the brand a clear, digital-first character.
